This Cookie Notice explains how InterKleen (“InterKleen”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the interkleen.com website and any other website that we own or control and which posts or links to this Cookie Notice (collectively, the “Sites”).
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies serve different purposes, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improving your browsing experience.
Our Sites use both session cookies, which expire once you close your web browser, and persistent cookies, which stay on your device until you delete them.
What types of cookies do we use?
This site runs no advertising tags and no social media tracking pixels. Nothing follows you from this site to another one for advertising. The cookies it does set are listed below.
| Type | Description | Who serves them | How to control them |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required for the technical operation of the site. This includes the WordPress session and security cookies, the page optimization used to keep the site fast, and the pcc_consent cookie that records your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page. | InterKleen (first party) | These cannot be switched off through the banner because the site will not function without them. You can block or delete them in your browser settings. |
| Functionality | Set when you submit a contact form or newsletter signup, to retain your entries and to guard against automated and duplicate submissions. | Contact Form 7, running on our own server (first party) | Browser settings. Blocking them may prevent forms from submitting. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics measures which pages are viewed and how visitors move through the site. It sets cookies beginning with _ga, along with _gat and _gid. | Google. Privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy | Decline through our cookie banner, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on. |
| Spam protection | Google reCAPTCHA runs on our forms to tell real enquiries from automated submissions. It sets a _GRECAPTCHA cookie on Google’s domain. | Google. Privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy | This protects the forms from abuse and is not switched off by the cookie banner. Blocking it in your browser may stop forms from submitting. |
Other technologies and third parties
The site loads web fonts and icons in order to display text and graphics as designed. These do not set advertising cookies, but your IP address is transmitted to those providers in order to deliver the files.
The site is protected and delivered through the Sucuri website firewall, which processes request data including IP address for security filtering. Sucuri’s privacy policy is at https://sucuri.net/privacy-policy/.
Website hosting and maintenance are provided by 561 Media Inc, which has access to server data including web server logs.
How can I control cookies?
A consent banner appears on your first visit. You may accept or decline. Declining stops the Google analytics cookies from being set and deletes any that are already present. The spam protection above is served by Google on its own domain and is not covered by the banner. You can reopen the banner and change your answer at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies entirely, parts of the site may not function.
